Music To Cook To In October

Suggestions for music to cook to in October include anything from the album, Vamps et Vampire – the songs of Serge Gainsbourg.  Then there is Danse Macabre by Saint-Saens (see bottom video clip for a lovely performance by Clara Cernet and Thierry Huillet). You could also listen to anything by  Boris Kovač  – Ballads from the End of Time  for example includes a very Halloween sounding wolf – and Tango Apocalypso is pretty, well, apocalyptic…see below. For something mellow, you could try James Taylor’s October Road.  There’s Nina Simone’s I Put A Spell On You. For something outright gorgeous, thick, rich, earthy…. listen to Marianne Faithfull’s Witches’ Song. Then there’s the theme music to Good Omens – a film about an impending apocalypse.
